On September 25, the entire UConn community was invited to the pre-campaign kickoff ice cream social on Fairfield Way, hosted by the UConn Foundation. UConn Dairy Bar ice cream was served to everyone as a wide range of speakers outlined the campaign's goals and the University's aspirations. Presenters included Campaign Chair Denis McCarthy ’64, ’65, Dean Jeremy Teitelbaum of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, alumna Cindy Sebrell ’91, and UConn student Brien Buckman, who also serves as the elected student representative on the UConn Foundation Board of Directors.
