Basketball Center to New Phase

Alumnus Mark Shenkman '65 '07H and his wife, Rosalind, have committed $2 million to the UConn Basketball Development Center, bringing the total donated toward the project to a point where construction can begin this spring.

Their Junior Year Abroad experience introduced Joseph '69 '12H and Elizabeth '70 '76 Polisi to French culture and more importantly, each other. More than 40 years later, the couple has created a scholarship for today’s UConn students to study in France.
