From freshman move-in day to graduation and beyond, UConn Parents Fund Council members have a special connection to the University. The Council is a group of exceptionally dedicated parents who support the Division of Student Affairs, enriching the experience of our children through personal development, cultural club teams, mental health and wellness, leadership training, late-night activities, and so much more.
The Parents Fund
Donations to the Parents Fund are directly invested in the Division of Student Affairs, supporting students through innovative programs that promote student learning, personal development, and academic success. Through the Fund, we provide the resources necessary to prepare tomorrow’s leaders: your sons and daughters.
Why Join the Parents Fund Council?
As a parent or family member, you play an important role in our unique community. Your involvement on campus and in support of UConn helps raise the value of your child’s experience and, ultimately, their degree.
By serving as philanthropic leaders in the UConn community, members are vital to advancing UConn’s mission to provide opportunities for every student to grow intellectually and become a contributing member of their communities.
If you join, you’ll get invitations to special UConn family events, connect with University leaders, and get early access to campus news and events.
Parents Fund Council members may:
- Participate in UConn family events
- Participate in marketing and fundraising efforts
- Serve as ambassadors for UConn by attending or hosting receptions and events to connect with families
- Support the Parents’ Fund with an annual donation
Parents Fund Council members commit to an annual Parents Fund contribution of $1,000 or more payable by June 30, 2017. A one-year renewable term to the Council is reserved for parents or guardians who give $1,000 or more annually, payable by June 30. Levels of giving are varied and may include naming opportunities starting at $50,000 (may be pledged over four years).
