First Brandwein Lecture Presented
at UConn Health Center

legacy-2007-05-brandwein.jpg Beverly Emanuel, Ph.D. (r), chief of the Division of Human Genetics and Molecular Biology and the Charles E. Upham Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, delivered the Health Center’s inaugural Herbert & Esther Bennett Brandwein Lecture, entitled “From Microscopes to Microarrays: Probing Rearrangements of Chromosome 22,” to a gathering of faculty and students.

Emanuel is the first recipient of The Herbert and Esther Bennett Brandwein Award in Genetic Research. The March 22 lecture was hosted by Marc Lalande, Ph.D., professor and chair of the Department of Genetics & Developmental Biology at the Health Center.
