Division of Athletics

The success of UConn Athletics has helped propel UConn into the top tier of public universities, translating into increased recognition, dramatic new levels of admissions and interest in the institution, and a national sense of pride in the University and its achievements.

To help ensure we maintain this level of excellence, here are four great ways to invest in the future of UConn Athletics.

The Werth Family UConn Basketball Champions Center

UConn's basketball programs help generate a dominant percentage of the Division of Athletics' external revenue, nearly $11 million of which annually goes toward scholarships. Thus, keeping the men's and women's basketball programs strong and competitive is critical for the Division's future, in support of our mission to provide outstanding academic and athletic opportunities for our student-athletes.

The Werth Family UConn Basketball Champions Center will have a profound impact on our ability to generate revenue, recruit talented student-athletes, and provide scholarships for deserving young men and women who proudly wear the Husky uniform.

Husky Annual Scholarship Fund

While winning championships is always important, providing student-athletes with the opportunity to obtain a great education is the primary goal at UConn. Scholarship costs have increased significantly over the past decade, and your support provides us with the ability to continue to recruit the best student-athletes in the county.

The Husky Annual Scholarship Fund provides financial support to fund scholarships for UConn student-athletes through a general scholarship fund. Funds raised help offset the costs for tuition, fees, books and room and board for over 700 student-athletes.

Husky Excellence Fund

For those who wish to help enhance the overall experience of our student-athletes there is the Husky Excellence Fund. Your support of this fund helps to support the operating budgets for our 24 sports and assists our student-athletes as they annually compete for conference and national championships.

The UConn Athletics Development Fund (UCADF)

The UCADF is a group of funds managed and invested by The UConn Foundation, Inc. Gifts for the benefit of UConn Athletics will be deposited by the Foundation for the benefit of UConn Athletics. The Foundation is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt 501(c) (3) organization, and donations to the Foundation are deductible for federal income tax purposes to the extent allowable by law. Please note that gifts payable by check must be made out to The UConn Foundation, Inc. - UCADF and cannot include money for tickets or events. Additionally, by law, once a donation is made, it cannot be refunded.
