Gifts to the Terese Aronoff Karmel Award for Sports Journalism Fund supports undergraduates majoring in journalism and demonstrating excellence in sports journalism.

Gifts to the Journalism Fund provide support for the establishment and maintenance of a major in journalism. Funds can be used for equipment, conferences, recruitment and teaching.

Gifts to the Michael J. Whalen Award for Excellence in Journalism award a scholarship to an undergraduate with the desire to pursue a journalism career.

Gifts to the UConn Journalism High School Multimedia Camp Fund provide support for full scholarships to participate in the camp at no cost. Funds will be used to pay for the overhead of the summer multimedia journalism camp.

Gifts to the Walter S. McGowan, Jr. Lectureship Endowment Fund provide scholarship support to the University’s Journalism Department which shall support lectureships in journalism to be known as “The Walter S. McGowan, Jr. Lectureship.”

Gifts to the Franklyn L. Litsky Fund provide financial support to the Department of Journalism at the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
