Frederick P. Eaton ’55 (Neag)

Frederick Persiani Eaton, born August 19, 1932, in Bridgeport, CT died January 6, 2021, at his home in Stonington, CT.   He was the son of Charles Andrew Eaton and Florence Persiani Eaton.

He graduated from Bassick High School, Bridgeport, and in 1954 with a BS from the University of Connecticut. He and Anne Whitaker were married in 1957.  His career was in sales and marketing in the financial information systems industry, including as a vice president at R. Shriver Associates, Chase Manhattan Bank, and Sungard Data Systems.  Upon retirement in 1993, he and Anne moved from Mountain Lakes, NJ to Stonington, CT.  He was a member of the Wadawanuck Club, Stonington, and the Lansdowne Club, London.

At Christ Church, Westerly, RI he served as Treasurer for many years, and on their Vestry and Investment Committee.  For twenty years he volunteered as Treasurer for the Stonington Cemetery.  He played tennis in high school, college, and in tournaments, was ranked in New England, and enjoyed the sport all his life.

Survivors include his wife, four sons, Andrew Talbot of Laurel, MD, Clifford Porter of Morristown, NJ, Alexander Holman of Nahant, MA, Charles Andrew Eaton III of Boonton Twp., NJ, and seven grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Charles Andrew Eaton, Jr.

A small private funeral service was held at Christ Church, Westerly and burial was in Stonington Cemetery.
