CHIP Innovations in Health Research Fund

Gifts to the CHIP Innovations in Health Research fund support research related epenses associated with hosting related workshops.

For over a decade, world renowned researchers at UConn’s Institute for Collaboration on Health, Intervention, and Policy (InCHIP) (formally CHIP or the Center for Health, Intervention, and Prevention) have worked at the intersection of behavior and biology to promote wellness and improve the health of individuals, families, and communities in Connecticut and across the world. Past InCHIP research has saved a significant number of lives. The intent of InCHIP’s Innovation in Health Research Fund is to support cutting-edge research consistent with InCHIP’s mission to create new scientific knowledge and theoretical frameworks in the areas of health behavior, health behavior change, health intervention, and prevention at multiple levels of analysis. Funds will be used to move innovative ideas and interdisciplinary partnerships forward and facilitate progress in understanding and addressing the most pressing public health issues of the 21st century such as cancer, HIV/AIDS, and obesity, and in the development of state-of-the-science health promotion interventions, tools, and policies. Invest in the next decade of InCHIP research and support researchers committed to providing evidence-based solutions to complex physical and mental health problems.
