Dr. James H. Foster General Surgery Residency Fund

Gifts to the Dr. James H. Foster General Surgery Residency Fund will support the educational and professional development of general surgery residents.

Thank you for your support! The Dr. James H. Foster General Surgery Residency Fund was established to support the educational and professional development of general surgery residents enrolled in UConn Health’s School of Medicine Residency Program.

Our residency training program embodies the best qualities of a university program combined with superb community-based training. Our diverse clinical experience includes a high volume of complex operative cases with exposure to a large experienced faculty. We remain on the cutting edge in minimally invasive surgery and pride ourselves in adult learning and innovation.

Gifts to the fund will be applied as expendable (non-endowed) funds to support resident education and professional development of general surgery residents including, without limitation, financial support for research and activities of residents, travel to conferences, symposia, and meetings, lecture series, and other such similar efforts.
