Puerto Rican/Latin American Cultural Center (PR/LACC) Program Fund

Gifts to the Puerto Rican/Latin American Cultural Center (PRLACC) Program Fund provide support to enhance the PRLACC mission and programs.

The Puerto Rican/Latin American Cultural Center is the place for anyone who wants to be part of the Latino experience at the University of Connecticut. By making it possible for you to better understand your past, present, and future, PRLACC provides you with a more pronounced path to becoming one of the Latino/a leaders of tomorrow. The center supports the University’s mission by providing services and leadership opportunities, fostering connections, and educating the University and the larger community about Latino issues. Our programs seek to enhance and support student recruitment, retention and graduation as well as enrich the multicultural climate of our community.

With your gracious gift and donations, we will continue providing the following programs:

  • METAS- The METAS (Mentoring, Educating, and Training for Academic Success) Program is a peer mentoring program designed to assist first-year and transfer students with their college transition.
  • Hispanic Heritage Month – while we celebrate the contributions, history, culture, and traditions of Latinos year – round, during the national observance of Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 – October 15) the celebration grows.
