Peter Deckers, MD, the former dean of the UConn School of Medicine and executive vice president of UConn Health, transformed surgical residency program in Greater Hartford and trained thousands of medical students to become clinical surgeons. Gifts to the Peter J. Deckers, M.D., General Surgery Residency Program Distinguished Endowment will provide annual ongoing financial support for the training and the education of surgical residents, faculty, and students at UConn Health and throughout its integrated multi hospital academic system.
