Campaign Leadership

The campaign is led by volunteer alumni co-chairs Toni Boucher, Rich and Joyce Eldh, Doug and Sheila Elliot, and Board of Trustees Chair Dan Toscano. The School of Business Department of Management and Entrepreneurship was named after Toni Boucher in recognition of her commitment to student entrepreneurship and innovation within the business school. The Eldhs have been generous supporters of full scholarships for students from Bridgeport and the Elliots have been generous across many programs, including Elliot Ballpark, home to the UConn baseball team; the Toscanos, longtime supporters of UConn, have invested in scholarships, faculty, innovative programming such as Hillside Ventures, and UConn Athletics. Honorary co-chairs include Vlad Coric, Denis Nayden, Molly Qerim and Peter Werth. They’re among the more than 30 members of the campaign committee.

Campaign Co-Chairs

Antonietta “Toni” Boucher ’02 MBA

Toni is an alumnus of UConn’s School of Business, where she earned her MBA in 2002. She is serving her first four-year term as Wilton’s First Selectman (mayor) after a lengthy career in public service for the state of Connecticut and recently retired as a director of a leading $30 billion asset management company. Her extensive career in the public sector includes executive leadership roles in large businesses where she also led new business development and marketing initiatives. Toni has founded several startups and is now helping the UConn School of Business grow its entrepreneurship and student-run investment programs. The naming of the Boucher Department of Management and Entrepreneurship recognizes Toni’s transformative philanthropy and her passionate pursuit of excellence. She was inducted into the UConn School of Business Hall of Fame in 2024 and has served on the UConn Foundation Board of Directors since 2024. Toni is an author of two books, “The Husky Effect” released in March 2025 and “Stone Doll” to be released in November 2025. She is a member of UConn’s prestigious Founders Society which recognizes the University’s most generous lifetime donors.

Richard E. Eldh Jr. ’81 (BUS) and Joyce C. Eldh

Rich Eldh is an alumnus of UConn’s School of Business, where he earned his degree in finance in 1981. He is co-founder and former co-CEO of SiriusDecisions, Inc., a research and publishing firm and he now serves as Senior Advisor at Brighton Park Capital. He has served as a member of the UConn Foundation’s Board of Directors since 2021, generously sharing his expertise and guidance. Joyce Eldh is an integral part of the Eldh family’s community and business endeavors. She is committed to ensuring student success and is a strong advocate for providing the full range of resources needed to guide young people in their student journey. Joyce and Rich are members of UConn’s prestigious Founders and Charles Lewis Beach Societies which recognize the University’s most generous lifetime donors.

Douglas G. Elliot ’82 (BUS) & ’17 (HON) and Sheila S. Elliot ’82 (CLAS)

Doug Elliot is an alumnus of UConn’s School of Business, where he earned his accounting degree in 1982. He was inducted into the Business Hall of Fame in 2004 and was awarded an honorary degree in 2017, a distinction bestowed on individuals whose life and achievements serve as examples of the University’s aspirations for its students. Doug was honored with the Red O’Neil award in 2006, the most prestigious recognition a student athlete can receive. Sheila is an alumnus of UConn’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, where she earned her degree in sociology. She joins Doug in their commitment to supporting many areas of UConn Storrs, including UConn athletics, where Doug was a Founding member of UConn Baseball’s Dugout Club. Their Husky pride is evident with the naming of Elliot Ballpark, where their son continued Doug’s legacy as a member of UConn’s baseball team. Doug retired in 2022 from The Hartford where he served as President after a similar executive role at The Travelers, as well as CEO of Hartford Steam Boiler. Sheila and Doug are members of UConn’s prestigious Founders Society which recognizes the University’s most generous lifetime donors.

Daniel D. Toscano ’87 (BUS) and Tresa M. Toscano

Dan Toscano is an alumnus of UConn’s School of Business, where he earned his degree in finance in 1987. A dedicated advocate for UConn, Dan has been deeply involved with the University, currently serving as Chair of the UConn Board of Trustees since 2019. Dan and Tresa are recognized members of UConn’s prestigious Founders and Charles Lewis Beach Societies, honoring the University’s most generous lifetime donors. Dan and Tresa prioritize First Gen students in their philanthropy through scholarships in the name of their parents. They also endowed the first Chair in Finance in the School of Business. The Toscano Family Ice Forum naming is one of the many indicators of their shared Husky Pride. Their philanthropy and leadership continue to shape the future of UConn, inspiring the next generation of students and alumni.
