ABOUT THE ALUMNI CENTER
Opened in 1989, the Alumni Center is a 25,000-square-foot showpiece facility that is one of the most magnificent buildings on the UConn Storrs Campus.
Dedicated on Homecoming Day 2001, the Alumni Center includes the Great Hall, Alumni Hall of Excellence, J. Robert Donnelly Husky Heritage Sports Museum, meeting rooms, alumni relations staff offices, and the Alumni Lounge.

What is the location of the Alumni Center?
The Alumni Center is located on the University of Connecticut’s main campus in Storrs. The address is 2384 Alumni Drive, Storrs, CT 06269-3053.

How many people can the Alumni Center accommodate?
Our largest space, the Great Hall, accommodates 120 seated or 250 standing.

What about alcohol and caterers?
Any licensed and insured catering company is allowed. The venue does not hold a liquor license, so all alcohol is required to be provided by a licensed entity such as a caterer or bartending service. We have a small catering kitchen on the premises. We do not permit alcohol in the building on Sundays.

What tables and chairs do you provide?
The Alumni Center provides chairs and a combination of tables, including tall and/or short cocktail tables, eight-foot buffet tables, and six-foot round tables. All in-stock quantities are included with your rental.

Do I need to be a UConn alum to rent the Alumni Center
The UConn Alumni Center may be available to rent if you are not a UConn Alumni. Please email tfelder@foundation.uconn.edu and facilitiesevents@foundation.uconn.edu with your event details and we will get back to you on whether or not you are able to book with us.

How do I book a reservation?

For University Group/ Departments/ or Student Organizations:
- Go to FMX.com
- Click University Login with SSO
- Login with your UConn email and password
- You will have access to view the calendar and reserve the room within FMX.
For Outside Members:
- Email frontdeskandfacilites@foundation.uconn.edu and request a login link.
- Open email from FMX and create a username and password.

The UConn Alumni Center is the perfect location for retirement parties, birthdays, baby showers, celebrations of life, business conferences, board meetings, and more.

How appropriate to host it at a location which was home to Melissa and Shawn during their years as students at UConn. The Great Hall, with its modern design and magnificent columns, is truly a designer’s dream. It was the perfect venue for my daughter’s winter wonderland themed sweet sixteen party. We could not have picked a better place! The imposing high ceilings, grand staircase, and architectural designs allowed me to create the perfect ambience for her dream party. Julie Sweeney, the Alumni Manager, was AMAZING! She made sure everything we needed was taken care of. We had access to the entire facility. The Husky Heritage sports room was a guest favorite. In spite of last-minute weather challenges, our daughter’s sweet sixteen party was PERFECT! Our guests still rave about how beautiful the event was.
