CT Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation

With your support, Connecticut Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation can continue to gain ground and provide enhanced levels of support, programs, and mentorship to entrepreneurs across the University and throughout the state.

Entrepreneurship. Starts. Here.

CCEI strives to inspire and support a robust interdisciplinary entrepreneurial culture across the university. We believe that students and faculty who can gain practical experience in entrepreneurship and innovation will be more successful in their careers, either as innovative employees or self-employed entrepreneurs.

Through programs such as CCEI Summer FellowshipAccelerate UConn, Get Seeded, and others, CCEI helps entrepreneurs navigate the process of developing and refining a business idea through successfully launching into the market.

Through programs such as Verge Consulting Group, InsurTech Initiative, Entrepreneurship Life Sciences Initiative, internships, and other experiential learning opportunities, CCEI provides educational opportunities to future leaders. Students have the opportunity to learn about new and growing industries and how emerging technologies are disrupting them. Students are empowered to think critically, be innovators, and learn how to be effective change-makers in their organizations. Students learn how to use data to better inform decisions, and to pitch their ideas succinctly and professionally.

CCEI engages alumni and other community stakeholders to create opportunities for UConn entrepreneurs to validate and refine their products and service. Alumni, successful entrepreneurs and industry experts are welcome to get involved in many ways, including in our entrepreneurship-in-residence program, one-on-one mentoring with students and startup teams, guest speaking in courses and in programs, and more. CCEI welcomes and encourages participation and involvement.
