A UConn alumni family took their Husky pride to new heights during a trip to Yosemite and a summit of Half Dome.

Alicia Forella ’15 (BUS), ’16 MS, Melinda Forella ’94 (CAHNR), Tom Forella ’83 (BUS), Michelle Forella ’13 (CAHNR), and Tim Forella ’19 (CLAS) celebrated the view as Huskies do: together.

In the newest ranking, Time Magazine has named UConn among its top universities in the world, making it one of only two in Connecticut to receive that honor, along with Yale University.

Time’s ranking, compiled in conjunction with Statista, named UConn as No. 111 globally among the 500 institutions ranked. When filtered to compare only U.S. public institutions, UConn was No. 22 – far ahead of many of its direct competitors and peer aspirant universities.

For the third consecutive year, a completely student-driven effort is bringing a two-day free medical, dental, and vision care clinic on March 7th and 8th to Willimantic, this time at a new location.

At last year’s clinic, 400 UConn student volunteers helped provide more than $142,000 in medical, dental, and vision services to 196 patients.

The UConn Neag School of Education’s sport management program held its 10th annual Sport Business Conference (SBC) on Feb. 15.

More than 130 students from UConn and other local colleges and high schools engaged with sports business professionals and explored the industry through keynote speeches, panels, and networking opportunities.

The student-run event was organized by members of the Sport Business Association (SBA).

Named one of Sports Business Journal’s New Voices Under 30, she leads initiatives that expand access, fund equipment, and open new pathways for young athletes.

The National Academy of Engineering (NAE) recently inducted Timothy Bunning, a three-time UConn College of Engineering alum and high-impact materials research engineer.

Bunning joins nine other UConn Engineering alumni who have been inducted into the NAE for outstanding engineering contributions in business, education, research, government, and other organizations.
