Host a Lunch & Learn or Coffee Hour for students—either on campus or at your workplace—for a relaxed and interactive exchange. These informal settings often foster more candid, meaningful conversations between alumni and students.

Support students through one of our mentorship programs by sharing your professional experiences, offering advice, and answering questions about career pathways, industries, and workplace realities. Additional opportunities include conducting resume reviews and hosting informational interviews.
Engage with students by judging or mentoring in case competitions, where teams tackle real-world business challenges. These events allow organizations to collaborate with students while giving students the chance to demonstrate their talent, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
Welcome students to your workplace to provide them with first-hand exposure to your role, team, and organizational culture. Site visits give students a tangible understanding of how individual contributions align with and impact broader organizational goals.

School of Law
UConn School of Law thrives with the support of our incredible graduates. Contact Jordan Abbott, Senior Director of Alumni Relations, at jabbott@foundation.uconn.edu or (860) 570-5390 to find out more about these volunteer opportunities.
Class Champions are our best ambassadors to promote Reunion, which each class celebrates every five years. The expectations for this volunteer role include working with the office of alumni relations and reaching out to classmates to encourage attendance at Reunion.
UConn Law alumni have distinguished careers in many areas of law, business, nonprofit leadership and education. We recruit alumni to serve on panels, speak at events, meet with students or serve as a guest speaker on campus.
Support the admission office by reaching out to prospective, newly admitted or undecided candidates. Each year in March, we invite alumni to attend breakfast with our admitted students on Admitted Student Visit Day. Alumni may also be invited to assist with other admission gatherings on campus or in major cities. You may also serve as a liaison to your undergraduate institution.
Alumni host events in their homes and places of employment, at their clubs or at local restaurants. This generous contribution allows the Alumni Office to expand our reach and connect with a broader range of alumni. Event guests may include the dean, faculty, representatives from UConn or other featured alumni speakers.
The Law School Alumni Association taps alumni with a strong history of volunteerism and support for the school who represent the rich diversity of the alumni base to serve as directors. This is a three-year renewable term of service and a meaningful opportunity to serve in a leadership capacity. The LSAA holds approximately four hybrid meetings each year, as well as a meeting at their annual awards dinner. Directors are nominated for board service by the Nominating Committee and elected by the full board. Please contact Jordan Abbott to learn more.
