What is UConn Gives?
UConn Gives is a way for UConn Nation to show its strength, pride, and spirit by supporting the University we love. For 36 hours, UConn Nation will come together to celebrate our accomplishments and lift up our passions. Groups across all five campuses will connect with their supporters around the world to raise funds for the programs and causes important to them.
The possibilities are endless. Whether it’s a school, college, department, club, student group, or research area, give to what’s most important to you.
UConn Gives starts at 7:00 a.m. ET on April 21 and runs through 7:00 p.m. ET on April 22.
Why should I participate in UConn Gives?
This is a moment for you, as a member of UConn Nation, to come together and celebrate our University. For 36 hours, your generosity can transform the future of the University you love and the causes you are passionate about. Every gift can make a difference.
During UConn Gives, your gift can make an even greater impact. Give to a cause with a match/challenge and your $50 gift could become a $100 contribution. Help your favorite project rise to the top of the donor leaderboard. Watch our progress during UConn Gives to see how alumni, parents, friends, students, and fans like you are making a difference.
Are UConn Gives contributions tax-deductible?
Yes, your gift is tax-deductible. After making a gift you will receive a confirmation email that serves as your receipt for tax purposes.
Note on Athletics gifts: Athletics priority seating points are automatically waived for donations made as part of UConn Gives. Your gift may be deductible as a charitable gift for federal income tax purposes up to 100 percent or the maximum allowed by federal law. Consult your tax advisor.
How can I make my gift?
Visit s.uconn.edu/uconngives25 at 7:00 a.m. ET on April 21 and 7:00 p.m. ET on April 22 and choose the fund you are most passionate about to make your gift to. Funds are sorted by categories or if you know what you would like to give to you can search for it directly.
What other ways can I get involved?
Help us spread the word! Sign up to be a UConn Gives Advocate by sharing on your social media, creating a match/challenge, or submitting a person video.
You can make a huge impact by letting those in your network know you are putting the YOU in UConn by posting to your social networks using #UConnGives. Share why you chose to give to UConn and why they should, too.
Is it possible to make a gift by mail or phone?
While it is strongly encouraged that you make your gift online to be counted in our grand total and to be qualified for matches and challenges, you can also make a gift via mail or phone. Please send your check to the following address, made payable to the “University of Connecticut Foundation, Inc.”:

Please note: Mailed donations must arrive at the UConn Foundation by 4/25 to count towards UConn Gives. If you plan to donate via mail, we recommend mailing your check prior to April 21. Donations can arrive via mail as early as April 1 to count towards UConn Gives.
