Husky families filled the UConn Alumni Center on Sunday for Slam Dunk Sundae Sunday.
 
From championship trophies to cheers with Jonathan and ice cream sundaes to top it off, the day was a celebration of UConn pride shared across generations.

UConn helped Alexis Hastings ’25 (ED) see what was possible. With coaches who kept showing up and teammates who pushed her, she became a first-round draft pick in the inaugural Women’s Pro Baseball League draft.

A UConn alumni family took their Husky pride to new heights during a trip to Yosemite and a summit of Half Dome.

Alicia Forella ’15 (BUS), ’16 MS, Melinda Forella ’94 (CAHNR), Tom Forella ’83 (BUS), Michelle Forella ’13 (CAHNR), and Tim Forella ’19 (CLAS) celebrated the view as Huskies do: together.

In the newest ranking, Time Magazine has named UConn among its top universities in the world, making it one of only two in Connecticut to receive that honor, along with Yale University.

Time’s ranking, compiled in conjunction with Statista, named UConn as No. 111 globally among the 500 institutions ranked. When filtered to compare only U.S. public institutions, UConn was No. 22 – far ahead of many of its direct competitors and peer aspirant universities.
