Thank you for your interest in the Alumni Trustee Election. The 2025 election is underway. This page will help you navigate the election process whether you are a prospective candidate, nominator, or UConn graduate who wants to make an informed decision.
What is an Alumni Trustee?
An alumni trustee is a graduate of the University of Connecticut who has been elected to sit on the 21-member Board of Trustees for the University. There are two alumni trustees who serve a 4-year term representing UConn alumni in greater University discussions and decisions. Alumni trustees are selected through an election in which all UConn graduates may vote.

What are the Deadlines for the Election?
- The application deadline for nominees is Monday, March 3, 2025 at 12 p.m. EDT.
- Final candidates will be announced on the “Meet the Candidates” page on June 16, 2025.
- Ballots will be delivered to all UConn graduates no later than August 1, 2025.
- Completed ballots are due in the Post Office Box by August 15, 2025 in order to be counted. Note: This is NOT a postmark date
