National 4-H Week is October 4–10, and UConn Extension is celebrating the young people, volunteers, families, and supporters who help 4-H thrive across Connecticut.
Your gift to UConn 4-H helps provide programs and experiences that empower youth to build confidence, develop leadership skills, strengthen life skills, and discover new possibilities for their future.
As the youth development program of UConn Extension, UConn 4-H helps young people ages 5–18 learn by doing through research-backed programming in leadership and civic engagement, STEM, workforce development, healthy living, and more.
Each year, UConn 4-H reaches more than 22,500 youth through clubs, afterschool programs, school enrichment, camps, special interest activities, and community-based programs that respond to local needs.
During National 4-H Week, you can help make these opportunities possible. Your gift supports the programs, people, and experiences that help Connecticut youth grow, including:
- Volunteer and teen training
- Awards and recognition for youth achievements
- Statewide 4-H events that bring members together
- National trip opportunities for teens to explore leadership and civic engagement
